Postgraduate Qualifying Program

JCU's Postgraduate Qualifying Program (PQP) provides an alternative and streamlined pathway directly into selected postgraduate level programs for international students who do not meet the normal academic entry requirements for a postgraduate course work program.

Successful completion of PQP guarantees direct entry into:

• Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Business Administration
• Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Professional Accounting
• Graduate Diploma of International Hospitality Management
• Master of Professional Accounting/Master of Business Administration
• Master of International Tourism and Hospitality Management/Master of Business Administration

Course Structure

PQP is a full time study program at JCU Brisbane and can be packaged in the following ways:

• PQP + MBA
• PQP + MPA
• PQP + MITHM
• PQP + MPA/MBA
• PQP + MITHM/MBA

Advanced standing credit is not available for entry to the Postgraduate Qualifying Program. PQP subjects do not give advanced standing credit into a postgraduate program.

Students must pass all PQP subjects before progressing into postgraduate studies.

PQP Subjects (students must undertake)

• BU1004 Management, People & Organisations
• BU1005 Personal and Professional Skills in Business
• BU2010 Business Research Methods

Plus

• two Level 3 Bachelor of Business subjects offered in a trimester.
