James Cook University (JCU) is Queensland's second oldest university and is recognised as Australia's national university for the tropics.  In 2009, James Cook University was listed in the top 500 Universities in the Shanghai Jiao Tong Academic Ranking, placing it in the top 5% of universities worldwide.

The Brisbane campus, located in the central business district of Australia's third largest city, was established to deliver high quality degree programs to international students.  As a student, you will have the option to complete your degree sooner through the use of trimesters and also undertake industry placements to ensure that you have a head start in the employment market when you graduate.  You will also be learning from lecturers who have many years of industry experience.
