- I would like someone to check my assignment before I hand it in - what should I do?
- Take a Pre-Appointment Checklist from the tray on level 2
- Return the completed form and a printed copy to Level 2 (desk within office hours, or assignment box after hours) and make an appointment in the diary to discuss your assignment with a staff member.

- How do I change my address online?
- Go to Students Online
- Click on ‘Personal Details’
- Change your address and phone number
- I can’t access the internet. What should I do?
- Check your user balance you may have used up your internet quota and need to credit your account (http://www.jcu.edu.au/internetaccounting/)
- If you have not used up your internet quota t could be a log-in problem, contact the IT helpdesk (http://www.library.jcu.edu.au/Computing/support.shtml)
- How do I print a document?
- You can print from the library or computer labs.
- Send the document to print from your computer.
- Go to the stand alone ‘Printing Terminal’ and click on ‘Refresh’.
- Select your document and click on ‘Print’.
- Swipe your print card and click ‘Ok’.
- Your document will print from the photocopier.
- Photocopy cards can be recharged using the recharge machine in the library
- I lost my student card. How do I get a new one?
- You may need to pay for a replacement card
- Check with staff from Level 2 for lost property first
- Report to ground floor reception to pay for a new card
- Take your receipt to Level 2 to collect your card
- How do I get access to materials in the Resource Centre?
To borrow a book from JCU Brisbane:
- Use Tropicat to search for the book(s) you require - (http://hip.jcu.edu.au/ipac20/ipac.jsp?profile=t#focus)
- Come to the Learning & Support Centre on level 2
- Search manually by Title or Author in the blue library catalogue on the desk in the Learning & Support Centre
- If we hold the book(s), ask the staff member at the desk to retrieve from the library
- Sign the book(s) out on the library register. (The library is reference only, you cannot take books home)
- You will need to surrender your student card for the duration of the loan.
To borrow a book from JCU Townsville:
- Use Tropicat to search for the book(s) (http://hip.jcu.edu.au/ipac20/ipac.jsp?profile=t#focus)
- Request books by completing the Online Request Form, or by completing and returning a copy of the Request for Loan Form (ASD0140) to the Off Campus Officer. (http://learnjcu.jcu.edu.au/webapps/portal/frameset.jsp?tab_id=_21_1)
