Barista course assists student to gain employment
JCU Brisbane Vietnamese student Jessie, who is currently studying a Bachelor of Business, recently visited Joblinx expressing her interest in gaining a position as a barista in a cafe.
While Jessie had some fantastic skills from her previous role as a waitress, she had no experience as a barista. In order to achieve her goal, Jessie was placed through a barista course, fully funded by Joblinx.
After she had completed the course, Joblinx went on the hunt for a suitable role for Jessie to apply her new found skills.
Joblinx arranged a work trial for Jessie at a local cafe and after only completing two shifts of four hours each, she was offered a role. Joblinx Manager Leanna Tucker recently visited the cafe, where Jessie made her a coffee, which was fantastic.
Congratulations Jessie, on getting the job and on making awesome coffee!
